We are seeking a passionate and driven Sustainability and ESG Lead who is looking for an exciting new opportunity to work within our Technical Division. The ideal candidate will have a passion for implementing sustainability and decarbonisation consultancy services to Climate's Clients to exemplary levels of quality, contributing to business/team development strategies and a willingness to work across multiple disciplines and industries to drive the market transformation.

The successful candidate will form part of our dynamic Technical Division located in our Cairo office. The role will include analysis and research in support of decarbonisation and sustainability reporting and providing capacity building to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team across a range of industries to assist companies in better understand and develop solutions to respond to the complex and evolving policy, regulatory, and business environment risks and opportunities associated with ESG/Sustainability and Decarbonization.
  • Conduct analysis of corporate activities and provide recommendations related to enhance their sustainability/ESG strategy, methods, framework, and related tools to support clients in achieving their sustainability/ ESG objectives.
  • Assist in developing of sustainability/ESG programs and related reporting, such as materiality assessments, peer benchmarking, stakeholder engagement, gap analysis, metric/KPI identification (in alignment with common sustainability/ESG reporting standards such as GRI), and the preparation of reporting (internal and external) materials.
  • Lead in client relationships, business development efforts, and conducting trainings on sustainability and ESG topics.


  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or environmental sciences (an advanced university degree is preferred)
  • 5-8 years of experience in sustainability/ESG field (GRI certified candidate is preferred).
  • Strong technical understanding of sustainability, climate change and environmental management and demonstrable experience of providing advisory and practical support in embedding sustainability within organisations and projects.
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting projects in addressing sustainability challenges and opportunities including decarbonisation, circular economy and resource efficiency, community and social value, life cycle assessment and sustainable procurement.
  • Have a good understanding and experience in the international sustainability/ ESG reporting standards.
  • High communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in both English and Arabic languages.
